Coronado Home Tour: This year's self-guided tour features six historic homes demonstrating the elegant diversity of architecture that makes up Coronado's fairy-tale landscape. 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. May 14; beginning at the Coronado Museum of History and Art, 1100 Orange Ave. Cost is $20 museum members, $25 nonmembers. San Diego Historical Society Showcase 2006: A 1915 Craftsman farmhouse on six acres of a historic land grant in the San Dieguito Valley is showcased in the society's 33rd annual fundraiser. Twenty interior and landscape designers have renovated the rambling, three-story house that was once owned by actor Danny Kaye. The house is at 14333 San Dieguito Road. Hours are: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Sundays, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursdays, closed Mondays except Memorial Day, when the house is open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tickets at the door are $20.
